Does Your Flapper Leak In Your Toilet Tank?  As simple as it may seem the flapper can allow a considerable amount of water to be lost daily.  If you hear your toilet filling on its own throughout the day this is an indication that your flapper may be leaking.  Each time you hear your toilet re-fill it can be wasting as much as 3 gallons of water.  There are several factors that lead to a toilet flapper leaking, one is the amount of chlorine in your water and another is in-tank bowl cleaners.

One of the issues Titan Plumbing Service of Fort Worth finds is incorrectly fitting flappers.  Not all flappers are created the same, for instance Kohler toilets, Toto toilets, American Standard toilets, etc. all use different types of flappers.  Another issue is crinkled/wrinkled flappers; this is normally caused by too much chlorine.  Not to mention different types for 1.6 gallon toilets and the older higher capacity toilets.  A toilet flapper is not designed to last forever.

Not only does the flapper keep water in your toilet tank, but it also insures you will get the proper flush.  Timing is everything!

Titan Plumbing Service has corrected these issues for our clients in Fort Worth, Hurst, Euless, Bedford and many other areas as well.  Many times when we correct these issues the savings in water will offset the cost of the plumbing repair.

Along with the flapper there are several other toilet parts that insure you will have a good flush and save water at the same time.
